Original WotC Research and Development Proxy - Rootwater Thief

We have 1 in stock for $499.95
This item is the rare and unique of the rare and unique! It is a one-of-a-kind, original Research and Development proxy for Rootwater Thief! The card was originally called "Rootwater Torpedo" and had the following exact text:

1U to cast
Creature Type Merfolk
U: Flying
Damage --> Pay 2: Remove any card from opp's library.
1/2

This proxy was used inside the Wizards of the Coast Research and Development department in playtesting to determine the fairness and legitamacy of its abilities and costs. Clearly, it needed changing!

The proxy is written by hand on a blank white proxy card, with a completely plain white front and a standard Magic card back. All R&D proxies are written on these cards, which are available only through R&D. Guarenteed authentic!

R&D proxies are EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to find! They are never supposed to leave the building and are typically destroyed. This is a unique find if for no other reason than that, and it's an Invitational Card (in one of its original incarnations), to boot!

Own your own piece of Magic history today!
